Prey (2022) is a Predator franchise film set 300 years ago, following Naru, a young Comanche woman who faces an alien hunter with advanced technology. Directed by Dan Trachtenberg, it shifts the series’ familiar hunt into a historical setting and puts Naru’s perspective at its center.
What is Prey about?
Hulu describes Naru as a fierce, highly skilled Comanche warrior who stalks and ultimately confronts an alien predator armed with advanced technology. That is the platform’s fictional synopsis, not a claim about historical events. The film’s central tension comes from the contrast between its past setting and the hunter’s sophisticated weapons.
