Porsha Williams filed for divorce from Simon Guobadia in Fulton County Superior Court on February 22, 2024. Her complaint said the marriage was irretrievably broken, that the couple was living separately, and that they had no minor children together. The filings described here establish later proceedings, but do not verify a final divorce decree.

What Williams’s divorce complaint said

The four-page Complaint for Divorce and Other Relief identifies Porsha Dyanne Williams as the petitioner and Simon Iyore Guobadia, also identified as Iyore Guobadia, as the respondent. Fulton County Superior Court assigned the case number 24CV002165; the electronic filing stamp records the complaint as filed at 7:53 p.m. on February 22, 2024. Fulton County Superior Court complaint

Williams’s complaint stated that she had been a Georgia resident for six months before filing, that the couple married in November 2022 and were living separately, and that no minor children had been born of the marriage or were expected. It alleged the marriage was “irretrievably broken” and that there were no prospects for reconciliation. These are statements in Williams’s filing, not findings by the court.

The complaint lists Randall M. Kessler of Kessler & Solomiany as Williams’s counsel of record. It does not establish a settlement, the terms of any agreement, or the result of later proceedings.

What happened after the filing

Guobadia’s March 2024 motion

On March 25, 2024, Guobadia filed a motion seeking temporary relief, possession of the marital residence, a restraining order, and contempt relief. His motion included assertions about the residence and the parties’ conduct. Those are claims made by Guobadia in a court filing, not judicial findings. The filing names Onyema A. Farrey as his counsel. Guobadia’s March 25, 2024 motion

A hearing referenced in a February 2025 filing

A response filed on February 25, 2025, says the court issued a Rule Nisi on December 23, 2024, scheduling a February 26, 2025 hearing on Williams’s emergency motion to enforce the prenuptial agreement. That response establishes what the party filing reported about the scheduling; it does not establish whether the hearing took place or how the court ruled. February 25, 2025 response

Is the divorce final?

The court documents available for this account do not verify a final decree or establish the case’s current disposition. A scheduled hearing and allegations in party filings are not a final order. Georgia Courts directs people seeking existing case records to external providers, and an account may be required to access them. To confirm whether the divorce has concluded, check the Fulton County docket for case 24CV002165 or a final signed order. Georgia Courts E-Access to Court Records guidance

Why the filing date matters

Contemporaneous coverage on February 23, 2024, also reported that Williams had filed for divorce. The complaint itself gives the more precise court record: November 2022 as the marriage date and February 22, 2024, as the filing date. Descriptions of the couple as married for “about 15 months” are rounded media framing, not a duration stated in the complaint. Los Angeles Times report, February 23, 2024
