What the “Netflix for porn” comparison meant
In 2015 launch coverage, Pornhub vice president Corey Price described the service’s positioning this way: “For us, the benefit is establishing ourselves as the official ‘Netflix’ of porn.” The quote expressed the company’s intended framing at launch; it does not establish that Pornhub Premium matched Netflix in catalog, features, price or service terms.
That launch report described Premium as a paid subscription offering full-length HD video. Those are historical launch-era details, not confirmation of the current catalog or feature set.
Was Pornhub Premium $9.99 per month?
That was the documented launch-era price. TechCrunch reported the $9.99 monthly offer in 2015, and a 2021 U.S. House Financial Services Committee hearing document also recorded a $9.99 price. Neither source verifies what a consumer would pay today.

No universal availability claim is supported. In a June 2026 official update, Pornhub said it had blocked access in many regions in response to age-verification laws and introduced a safe-for-work homepage in most of those regions. The update shows that access conditions vary by geography; it does not establish Premium availability in every jurisdiction. Check the current official service information for your location.
