The Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration expansion was released on September 16, 2026, ahead of the franchise’s anniversary month in October. Pokémon’s US announcement describes the expansion as available now, but that does not guarantee stock at a particular retailer. The official product details include five foil cards per booster pack, one foil Basic Energy, and a Pikachu illustration feature.
When did the Pokémon TCG 30th anniversary set release?
The main expansion, Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration, released on September 16, 2026. The TCG’s 30th anniversary falls in October 2026, so the expansion arrived before the anniversary month. Pokémon’s US product announcement says the expansion is available now: official US announcement.
That set release date does not mean every anniversary product arrives on the same day. The Japanese official catalog lists several follow-on products for October 16, 2026; those dates apply to the Japanese catalog and should not be treated as worldwide release dates: Japanese Pokémon TCG product catalog.
What comes in a 30th Celebration booster pack?
Pokémon’s product showcase says each booster pack is set to contain five foil cards, including one of 30 unique Pikachu illustrations, plus one foil Basic Energy card. The showcase also highlights illustration rare cards, Pikachu-themed cards and a Classic Collection: official product showcase.

Which anniversary products are listed?
The Japanese product catalog shows that the celebration extends beyond booster packs. It includes an Espeon and Umbreon Premium Deck Set, a Pokémon Center Online FUTURISTIC BOX, products featuring starter Pokémon, and accessories and storage items. The catalog’s product names, yen prices and dates are Japan-specific; they do not establish equivalent prices or release schedules in other regions.

Pokémon’s original announcement described the special anniversary product as releasing simultaneously worldwide in 2026, while noting regional exceptions and possible timing differences caused by time zones and distribution. It also said future products would not all follow a simultaneous global schedule: original anniversary announcement. In practice, that wording is not a guarantee that every shop receives stock at the same local hour or that every anniversary accessory shares the expansion’s release date.

What should buyers check before looking for the set?
- Confirm the local listing. Check an official regional Pokémon product page or a retailer in your area for the product name and local release timing.
- Check stock directly. An official “available now” announcement is not confirmation that a specific store has inventory, and current store-by-store stock is not established by the announcements above.
- Compare the product format. Decide whether you want sealed booster packs, a bundle, a deck product, or accessories; their contents and purposes differ.
- Verify the price and seller. The Japanese catalog’s yen prices are regional suggested retail prices, not a verified price for another market. Reseller prices, purchase limits and restock dates are not established here.
