What is Plied and Prejudice?

The production format is deliberately compact: Woodward Productions describes five actors playing twenty characters, a figure also included in the Perth announcement. The London venue describes the production as a performance and a party, with actors and musicians live on stage. Those descriptions explain the show’s ensemble approach, but the London venue’s event arrangements should not be assumed to have applied to every engagement.
What happened at His Majesty’s Theatre in Perth?
Australian Arts Review reported on 30 May 2025 that the Perth season would run at Downstairs at The Maj, His Majesty’s Theatre, 825 Hay Street, from 18 July through 17 August 2025. The Arts and Culture Trust was named as organiser. This is a past engagement, not a current listing.

The Perth announcement credited Matthew Semple as writer, Dash Kruck as director, Penny Challen for set and costume design, and Dan Venz for movement direction. Woodward Productions credits Semple as adaptor, Kruck as director, Challen for design and Venz for choreography.
How long was the show?
Published running times differ by source and engagement, so there is no single duration that should be treated as universal.

The London listing also described a separate season that ran from March through October 2025 and was extended to 25 October. Its details—including duration, age rating, accessibility and content guidance—are specific to that venue listing and should not be transferred to the Perth season without confirmation.
What did the London party format include?
The Vaults’ London page invited guests to arrive early in Regency-inspired clothing, offered table service for themed cocktails and described an afterparty with a Regency dance lesson followed by modern pop mixes. These are documented London arrangements, not proof that the Perth engagement had the same activities. For a future performance, check the dated venue listing for its own schedule, access information, age rating and content guidance.

What should readers know about tickets and future performances?
The sources establish the 2025 Perth dates but do not confirm a revival, later performances or present-day ticket inventory as of 8 October 2026. Do not treat old event pages as evidence that tickets are currently on sale. For any newly announced run, check the presenter or venue’s official listing for dates and use its authorized ticketing route.
In the 30 May 2025 Perth announcement, Arts and Culture Trust CEO Janis Carren said: “We are so thrilled Perth audiences will have the opportunity to see this truly hysterical show. It was a sell-out in Brisbane, and we anticipate the same reaction here in Perth,” The “sell-out” description is Carren’s statement; the announcement does not provide independently verified attendance figures.
