When did Criss announce it?
Criss announced the project in an April 26, 2025 interview with Rolling Stone, initially saying he expected the rock album to arrive that fall. “I want to let the Kiss Army and all my rock fans know that my new ‘rock’ album will be coming out this fall,” he said. The later reported December release date replaced that original target. Rolling Stone’s announcement report
Who plays on the album?
Criss said he performed vocals, drums and percussion, and co-produced the record with Barry Pointer. The named guests in the announcement and label information include:
#1 Best Overall
- Various- Classic Rock Gold
- John 5
- Billy Sheehan
- Paul Shaffer
- Mike McLaughlin, also referred to as Michael McLaughlin in the announcement
- Piggy D, the stage name of Matt Montgomery
Backing singers Dennis and Sharron Collins and Cathryn Manning were also named in the announcement. Flatiron Recordings lists John 5, Billy Sheehan, Paul Shaffer and Mike McLaughlin among the guests on its Peter Criss artist page.
How does it follow One for All?
One for All was Criss’s previous solo album, released in 2007. The new record ends an 18-year gap between solo albums. In 2025, Criss said he had “an absolute blast doing this album,” praising the people he worked with as “just amazing.”
What formats and bonus track were reported?
Kiss Asylum’s November 2025 report said CD and download editions included “Hard Rock Knockers.” Vinyl editions were reported to include a download card for the track. Criss’s official site documented a limited-edition vinyl bonus-card notice, but the stated claim deadline was April 15, 2026; that date has passed, so the historical notice does not establish that a download card can still be redeemed or that any edition remains in stock. Flatiron Recordings calls Peter Criss “the Catman’s return to form, and his most rock driven solo album ever.” That is the label’s promotional description, not an independent critical assessment. The available announcement and label information establish the album’s contributors and release context, but do not substantiate a chart position, sales total or broader critical consensus.
