Pentatonix singer Kirstin Maldonado and videographer and director Ben Hausdorff married on April 21, 2024, at D’Vine Grace Vineyard in McKinney, Texas. They chose the area in part so Maldonado’s 97-year-old grandmother, who lived nearby, could attend.
Why the couple chose a Texas venue
Maldonado and Hausdorff met while Pentatonix was touring in 2018, according to The Knot’s May 10, 2024 feature. Although they lived in California, the couple wanted Maldonado’s grandmother to be able to join them for the wedding. PEOPLE’s report, republished by Yahoo on April 22, 2024, also notes that family priority.
The Knot says booking a venue was their first planning task. Hausdorff described wanting a spacious setting with a serene Southern California feel, while Maldonado said the vineyard felt like “a little mini SoCal oasis in Texas.” The couple settled on D’Vine Grace Vineyard in McKinney. PEOPLE’s account describes a stone patio and an outdoor reception area.
What happened at the wedding
PEOPLE reported that 175 guests attended, including Maldonado’s Pentatonix bandmates. The wedding party included seven bridesmaids and seven groomsmen, dressed in coordinated midnight blue, according to the report.
