The 2024 Megamind follow-ups are one animated movie and one companion series—not two films. Keith Ferguson voices Megamind in both listings. The movie, Megamind Vs. The Doom Syndicate, picks up after the 2010 film and leads into Megamind Rules!; both premiered on Peacock on March 1, 2024, according to Peacock’s announcement.
How the two Megamind follow-ups connect
Megamind Vs. The Doom Syndicate continues the story after the 2010 movie. Megamind’s former villain team, the Doom Syndicate, returns, and the newly heroic Megamind works with Roxanne Ritchi, Ol’ Chum, and Keiko Morita to stop them from launching Metro City to the moon. Peacock describes the movie as setting up further adventures in the companion series.
Megamind Rules! follows Megamind as he learns to protect Metro City after his villain era. DreamWorks describes him as the city’s new superhero and the world’s first hero influencer, with brainbots recording his efforts; see the DreamWorks series page.

Who voices Megamind in the new releases?
Keith Ferguson voices Megamind in both 2024 follow-ups. That is a change from the 2010 movie: DreamWorks identifies Will Ferrell as Megamind in its original-film listing. This establishes the lead-role change without implying a complete comparison of the original and new casts.
