To watch Peacock on a VIZIO SmartCast TV, install or open the Peacock app, choose Sign In, and activate the TV with the code shown on-screen. Peacock currently lists VIZIO SmartCast TVs made in 2016 or later among its supported devices. You will need internet access, a Peacock account, and access to the phone, tablet, or computer used to complete activation.
The activation code connects your TV to your Peacock account; it does not create a subscription or add Premium access by itself. Sign in with the Peacock account that owns the applicable plan, or choose Pick a Plan in the app if you are a new customer.
Before you begin
- Confirm that your television is a VIZIO SmartCast model from 2016 or newer. This is Peacock’s published VIZIO compatibility threshold; it does not guarantee that every VIZIO model, software version, or region is supported.
- Make sure the TV is connected to the internet.
- Have access to the email address and password for the intended Peacock account. Peacock identifies the registered email address as the account login identifier.
- Keep a phone, tablet, or computer nearby so you can enter the TV’s activation code.
Peacock availability is limited to the United States and certain U.S. territories. If you are outside those locations, the app or service may not be available even if the television itself is compatible.
How to activate Peacock on a VIZIO Smart TV
- Open the VIZIO app interface. Search the available apps for Peacock. Depending on the TV generation and software version, the exact app layout and labels may differ.
- Install Peacock if necessary. Select the official Peacock app and download it through the TV’s built-in app interface. Do not download a TV app or activation tool from an unofficial website.

Is peacocktv.com/tv/vizio the official activation address?
The phrase peacocktv.com/tv/vizio appears in some search queries and article titles, but the current official Peacock activation source identified for this process uses the general device-code page at peacocktv.com/activate-device-code. Do not assume that a similarly worded third-party page is operated by Peacock.
Before entering your Peacock email address, password, or TV activation code, check the browser’s domain carefully. Use Peacock’s official website or the activation option reached from the Peacock app. Never give an activation code to an unsolicited caller, message, or unrelated website.

For Premium access, sign in with the Peacock account that owns the relevant paid plan. If you sign in with a different email address, the TV may activate successfully but show the wrong account’s content or ask you to choose a plan. Peacock plan names, prices, billing terms, and availability can change, so check Peacock’s current plan information rather than relying on an old price shown in a guide.
If Peacock is missing from your VIZIO TV
- Check the TV model and confirm that it is a VIZIO SmartCast television made in 2016 or later.
- Check for available VIZIO TV or platform software updates.
- Restart the television, then search the app interface for Peacock again.
- Confirm that the TV is connected to the internet and that the app catalog is set to a supported location.
- Do not use an unofficial download site or attempt to install a modified TV app.
VIZIO’s app catalog lists Peacock among the apps available on its smart-TV platform, but the exact catalog, controls, and app presentation can vary by product generation and software version. - Generate a fresh code. Return to the Peacock sign-in screen on the TV and request a new activation code.
- Enter the characters carefully. Check for letters and numbers that may look similar, and avoid adding spaces.
- Check both internet connections. The TV and the phone, tablet, or computer used to activate it must be able to reach Peacock.
- Use the intended account. Confirm the email address before completing sign-in. A successful activation with the wrong account can look like a Premium-access problem.
- Close and reopen Peacock. If the TV does not refresh after the code is accepted, exit the app, launch it again, and repeat the sign-in process if needed.
Fixing playback or app problems after activation
Activation and playback are separate issues. If the account is linked but video will not start, work through these steps in order:

- Power down the VIZIO TV or unplug it for approximately 20 seconds, then reconnect it and try again.
- Check the TV’s internet connection and, if possible, test another app on the same TV.
- Clear Peacock’s cache or app data if those controls are available on your VIZIO platform.
- Check for a TV or app update.
- Uninstall and reinstall Peacock using the TV’s official app interface, if the platform allows it.
If other streaming apps also fail, the problem may be the TV’s network connection rather than your Peacock account. If only Peacock fails after reinstalling, use Peacock’s official help and account-support channels.
What to do if you do not have the VIZIO remote
A replacement remote is not required for Peacock account activation if you can navigate the TV by another supported method, but it can make opening the app and entering on-screen choices much easier. An optional VIZIO TV remote replacement should be matched to the exact television model before purchase; not every replacement remote supports every VIZIO generation or function.
For VIZIO TVs that support it, the VIZIO mobile app can also provide TV control. VIZIO says the phone and TV should be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Pairing involves selecting the TV in the mobile app and entering the four-digit code displayed on the television. This helps with TV navigation, but it does not replace Peacock’s separate account-activation process.

Optional equipment: replacement remote
