Jackson shared the news on December 6, 2024, in an Instagram birthday post for Long. Access Hollywood reported that the carousel included a proposal photo alongside affectionate pictures of the couple. The post has since been removed from Jackson’s feed, according to Parade, so descriptions of its contents rely on contemporaneous coverage.
In the caption reproduced by Access Hollywood, Jackson called Long “my sweet blue” and wrote:
“Happy birthday my sweet blue. Doing life with you these last years has been an indescribable whirlwind and I couldn’t dream of anyone more perfect for me to do it all with. Thank you for letting me be yours. I love you.”

Who is Justin Long?
Long is a music producer. Parade reported that he and Jackson were first linked in 2022 after meeting backstage at The Tonight Show, where Jackson was performing as the musical guest and Long was working sound. That account of how they met and when they were first linked comes from Parade’s reporting.
What happened to their wedding plans?
In June 2025, Jackson told Access Hollywood that preparations were underway: “The dress is being made, the venue has been picked and the date has been picked by an astrologer, because I’m from L.A.” Those remarks described plans at that time; they did not establish a wedding date or whether any ceremony took place.

Are Paris Jackson and Justin Long still engaged?
No. On July 31, 2025, Jackson responded to speculation after photographs showed her crying by writing, “Those are breakup tears. y’all are fkn reaching again,” in a post on X, as quoted by Parade. Parade and TMZ reported that the engagement had ended. The cited reports said the reason for the breakup was unclear, and neither the announcement nor the later reports establish more about what happened.
