Pamela Anderson’s Paris Fashion Week look was almost makeup-free: she said she had moisturizer on her face, and a report on her getting-ready video says she used homemade rose oil and added only a tiny amount of mascara for one show. The mascara brand was not identified. Recreating it means keeping the routine minimal—not building a full “no-makeup makeup” face.
What Pamela Anderson wore for the look
In a Vogue France getting-ready video ahead of the Vivienne Westwood show, Anderson said she had just gotten out of the bath and had moisturizer on her face. Allure’s account adds that she applied homemade rose oil and used a very small amount of mascara for the show. Neither account identifies a commercial moisturizer or mascara brand. That is the useful distinction: the base was bare skin with skincare, while mascara was a small optional finishing touch. The rose oil was homemade, not a named product endorsement.
How to recreate the near-bare version
- Start with clean skin. Anderson described having just bathed; she did not outline a special cleansing routine for this appearance.
- Apply moisturizer. This is the only facial skincare product she directly mentioned in the video account.
- Optionally use a little rose oil. Allure reported that Anderson used homemade rose oil. The source does not specify a formula, so there is no basis for suggesting a particular commercial oil or recipe.
- Stop there for the barest version. Let natural skin show rather than layering on foundation, concealer, contour, or blush.
- For the slightly more polished version, add a trace of lightweight mascara. Anderson reportedly used a very small amount for the show, but the brand is unknown and mascara is not essential to the look.
Why she chose to go without makeup
Anderson described the decision as spontaneous, not a planned beauty campaign. She said she did not want to compete with the clothes and was not trying to be the prettiest person in the room. Allure reported that she called the choice an experiment and connected it with freedom and relief.

In a Vogue interview, Anderson explained that after getting dressed, she would rather explore Paris than spend hours in a makeup chair: “Once I put the clothing on, I thought, ‘I’d rather go for a walk and look at the architecture of Paris rather than sit in the makeup chair for three hours.’” Vogue also reported that after the first show she decided to go makeup-free for the rest of the week. Skin prep advice that is not Anderson’s routine
If you want general guidance for a fresh, minimal-makeup finish, makeup artist Rebecca Robles told the Associated Press to focus on hydration: gentle cleansing, vitamin C serum, moisturizer with sun protection, separate broad-spectrum sunscreen, and lip balm. This is Robles’s advice, not a list of products Anderson said she used for the Paris show.
Robles explained why hydration can help the finish look natural: “When your skin is glowing, one thing that’s really fun to keep in mind is that light reflects off that moisture in the skin and can help blur out any fine lines or enlarged pores. So it’s win-win.” Associated Press guidance.

What not to confuse with the 2023 look
A 2025 Who What Wear interview describes Anderson’s then-current morning skincare sequence as Sonsie Cleansing Mousse, Super Serum, and Adapt Cream.
