She left Summer House in 2025 after seven seasons, but the show was one part of a career she had been building across several kinds of media.
Before Summer House: journalism training, ABC News and Betches
DeSorbo earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from the College of Saint Rose in 2015, according to Bravo’s career profile. She grew up outside Albany, New York, and told ELLE that she initially hoped to become a reporter. Her first job in that direction was as an assistant to a vice president at ABC News—not, as the shorthand “TV assistant” might imply, an on-air role or a production-assistant job.
Fashion was already part of her interests. In the ELLE profile, she credited her stylish mother and recalled recreating magazine looks with affordable finds. Bravo reports that she later worked as a fashion writer at Betches Media. That role ended after she joined Summer House; Bravo says she recounted losing the job during an Amazon Live in October 2023.
Summer House made her a reality-TV personality
DeSorbo joined Bravo’s Summer House in Season 3 while working at Betches, according to Bravo. The reality series gave her a prominent television platform, while her fashion commentary and other projects developed alongside it.

In an earlier ELLE interview, she described her approach this way: “I never tried to be on reality TV,” she says. “So I’m not trying to stay on it either. It fit in my life perfectly when I started. And if it continues to fit, then I’ll continue to do it.” That statement reflects her view at the time; it does not explain her later decision to leave. TV Insider reported that she announced her departure in June 2025, after seven seasons and following the Season 9 reunion.
Giggly Squad grew from an Instagram Live into a live show
DeSorbo’s partnership with comedian Hannah Berner began before their podcast. Bravo reports that DeSorbo first met Berner while interviewing for a job at Berner’s company. In March 2020, the two began Giggly Squad as an Instagram Live, which later developed into a podcast. The show’s official site describes its weekly conversations as covering pop culture, fashion and mental-health moments.

Separately, the podcast’s undated About page says the show has sold out in 70 cities and played Radio City Music Hall twice. These are figures reported by Bravo and the show itself, respectively, and describe different time contexts.
A book and a YouTube series extended the partnership
DeSorbo and Berner co-authored How to Giggle: A Guide to Taking Life Less Seriously, published April 15, 2025. Publisher Simon & Schuster lists the book at 208 pages, in paper-over-board and audio formats, and calls it an instant New York Times bestseller. Its practical, humorous advice is a collaboration, not a biography of DeSorbo.

Vogue reported that more than 100,000 prospective customers had signed up before Daphne’s first release, citing Klaviyo and the brand. That figure measures pre-launch interest, not completed purchases, sales or profitability. Vogue also noted that Lyst reported a 14 percent increase in demand for nightwear, sleepwear and loungewear in July–September 2025 compared with the same period in 2024; that is category context, not a measure of Daphne’s performance.
In the Vogue profile, DeSorbo said she wanted the business to stand on its own rather than depend on her visibility: “I don’t want this to feel like an influencer brand. I don’t want to be in all the photos. I don’t want someone coming to the site just because they know who I am.” The quote describes her stated aim, not an independently established measure of how the brand performs.

Her career after Summer House
DeSorbo’s departure from Summer House in 2025 marks a change in her television career, not the end of her public work. Her résumé already included fashion writing, a reality series, a podcast and touring partnership, a co-authored book, a web series and a loungewear brand. Bravo’s official profile has also identified her as host of The Paige DeSorbo Show and In Bed with Paige DeSorbo, an Amazon FAST Channel series launched in summer 2024.
She has described the bond with podcast listeners as especially immediate. In the ELLE interview, she said: “When girls come up to me on the street, if they say they’re a Giggler, I’m immediately like, ‘We’re the same person,’” she says. It captures how the audience built around Giggly Squad became another strand of her career alongside television and fashion.
