Yes. The game is Shadow Labyrinth, a dark sci-fi, single-player action-platformer connected to the PAC-MAN episode of Prime Video’s Secret Level. It is not a direct recreation of the episode or a traditional PAC-MAN maze-chase: Bandai Namco recasts familiar PAC-MAN ideas in a separate branch of its UGSF multiverse.
What is the game called, and when did it come out?
Shadow Labyrinth was announced by Bandai Namco on December 13, 2024, in connection with Secret Level’s PAC-MAN episode. The publisher later announced a July 18, 2025 release date, and its current product page lists the game as available. Bandai Namco’s announcement and release-date announcement establish those dates.
What kind of game is Shadow Labyrinth?
Bandai Namco describes it as a single-player 2D action-platformer. You play as Swordsman No. 8, awakened by a yellow orb called PUCK on a mysterious planet marked by relics of war. The game centers on exploring an alien world and its maze, fighting creatures, developing abilities, consuming enemies, and discovering PUCK’s purpose, according to the official product page.
That makes it a substantial departure in tone and format from classic PAC-MAN. The publisher presents it as an exploration-based action game that reworks PAC-MAN’s core ideas, rather than as a conventional arcade maze chase.

Is PUCK actually PAC-MAN?
No. Bandai Namco’s Toru Takahashi clarified in the game’s anniversary Q&A: “In the game’s lore, the character appearing in Shadow Labyrinth is not PAC-MAN himself, but an entity called ‘PUCK.’” PUCK is a distinct character who guides Swordsman No. 8.
Takahashi said the project began six years before the Q&A, published July 18, 2026. He described its starting point as reconsidering the original game’s maze, dots, ghosts, and Power Pellet, then combining that conceptual foundation with other worlds from Namco’s arcade history. The goal, he said, was an exploration-based action game that incorporates PAC-MAN’s core philosophy.

Is Shadow Labyrinth a sequel or a direct adaptation of the episode?
Bandai Namco frames the relationship as a connection within a larger fictional universe, not a one-to-one adaptation. In the July 18, 2026 anniversary Q&A, Hisaharu Tago explained that Circle, the setting associated with Secret Level’s PAC-MAN episode, is one branch of the UGSF multiverse and part of its official history. He described Shadow Labyrinth as a story shaped by the interference and integration of elements branching from parallel worlds.
So the useful distinction is: the game is connected to the episode through PAC-MAN concepts and the broader multiverse, but the available publisher explanation does not describe it as the episode’s exact plot continued in game form.
