PAC-MAN Live turns the arcade game into a group activity inside a projected, life-size maze. Players wear a high-tech PAC-Vest, collect power pellets, evade ghosts and compete for points. Arcade Arena says no headset is needed. Allow 50 minutes for the full experience, including about 30 minutes of maze play.
How PAC-MAN Live works
Players move through a projected maze rather than controlling Pac-Man from a cabinet. Arcade Arena describes the attraction as using projection mapping and augmented-reality effects; the PAC-Vest is part of the experience, and participants do not wear a headset. The aim is to collect pellets, avoid ghosts and score points alongside the other players.
The operator gives a 50-minute duration for the full experience and says maze play lasts approximately 30 minutes. Treat the shorter figure as the time spent playing, not the full visit.
Where and when to find it
Arcade Arena’s current FAQ says PAC-MAN Live is expected back in Manchester from the end of June and will be part of Arcade Arena London when that venue opens in September 2026. The FAQ does not give an exact Manchester return date, so check the official FAQ and Manchester booking page for current dates, availability and venue details before planning a visit.

The Manchester attraction originally opened on 22 March 2025, according to the operator announcement. That date records its launch, not its current schedule.
How group bookings are handled
Each PAC-Maze is designed for up to eight players at a time. If your party has fewer than eight people, the venue may add other visitors to your maze. Groups of eight to sixteen are divided between two mazes and briefed together; the FAQ says booking in multiples of eight is the best way to avoid being mixed with another booking.

If keeping your party together matters, check how the current booking system handles your group size before paying. A party split across two mazes should expect to play separately, even if it receives a shared briefing.
What to wear and what to check before booking
Arcade Arena recommends comfortable shoes and clothes that allow you to move, and advises against high heels and open-toed footwear. As the activity involves moving through a maze, choose clothing and shoes that are practical for movement.

- Plan your arrival: The venue is cashless and says late arrivals are not guaranteed entry. Follow the arrival window printed on your ticket.
- Confirm age and access arrangements: A Virgin Experience Days listing describes the experience as suitable for ages 8 and older, says under-16s need an accompanying adult aged 18 or older, and calls it wheelchair accessible. These details come from a reseller listing, not the venue FAQ; confirm them with Arcade Arena before booking if they affect your plans.
- Have your ticket ready: The FAQ says printed tickets are accepted, as are tickets scanned from a phone screen if the screen is clear and undamaged.
Is it a good fit for your visit?
PAC-MAN Live is a location-based, social way to play with the familiar game’s maze, pellets and ghosts, rather than a conventional arcade session. It may suit a group looking for an activity that combines movement and competition. When comparing it with other things to do, consider the 50-minute total visit, the possibility of sharing a maze with other visitors, the location and current availability, and any age or access requirements relevant to your party.
