A PerthNow launch report published on 5 December 2024 said it was due to open “in the coming days”; it did not give an exact opening date.
What makes the outdoor range different?
Rather than aiming only at conventional flags, visitors can hit raised target greens set at distances from 40 to 180 metres. PerthNow reported that the outdoor bays were covered and automated, with Inrange tracking following shots. When a ball reached a target, lights indicated the hit; the system could also illuminate a zone to show how close a shot landed.
Nick D’Avoine, identified by PerthNow as a professional golfer and the venue’s director and general manager, called the targets one of the venue’s “hero statements.” He also described Outta Bounds as “the first entertainment driving range in Perth.” That is his characterization, not an independently established market ranking.
What can you do indoors?
Play simulator golf
The December 2024 launch report described six indoor simulator bays powered by Foresight Sports, with 121 courses loaded. These are figures reported at launch, not confirmation of the venue’s current equipment or course selection.

An indoor putting area used a projector to add social games including noughts and crosses, cup pong and darts, alongside ordinary putting practice. The mix makes room for visitors who want a casual group activity as well as golfers looking to work on their touch.
Food, drinks and the social side
Launch coverage described a large bar and kitchen, seating and an industrial-style fit-out. The planned menu included familiar choices such as pizzas and burgers, with Asian-fusion influence from restaurateur and investor Lydia Zhang. Canford’s venue case page also describes the food offering and says it assisted with liquor licensing and health approvals.
