Advertised as the event’s “109th year,” it paired live music and fireworks with family activities, carnival attractions and a program celebrating local performers. The show has since moved on: the organizer lists its 111th Annual Show for 27–28 November 2026.
What was on at the 2024 Osborne Park Show?
The 2024 program was presented as a two-night community event at Robinson Reserve. The details below come from the show’s advertiser-content feature in PerthNow; they describe the advertised program, not independently verified performance outcomes.
Friday: an opening concert
The opening concert was scheduled to feature the Metropolitan Symphony Brass Section and Echoes of Ukraine, conducted by Bruce Herriman. The program was to begin with Fanfare for the Common Man, followed by the choir performing Shedryk and Ukrainian folk songs. The brass ensemble was also listed to return with popular classics and guests from Balga Senior High School.
Saturday: sport, wheels and wildlife
Saturday’s advertised attractions included Ninja Warrior semi-finalist Dave Ravi and a free obstacle course, a 3 on 3 Basketball Challenge, and the Hardwired Balance Bike Track. Other listed displays and activities were the Midnite Club car display, Swan Valley Cuddly Animal Farm, Birds of Prey and Critters Up Close wildlife enclosures.

Why the show matters to Osborne Park’s history
The Osborne Park Agricultural Society says it formed in November 1910 after local dairy, pig and poultry farmers and market gardeners met in the area. Its stated aims were to seek expert agricultural advice, raise funds for a public hall and hold an annual agricultural show. The Society’s hall at 209 Main Street opened on 16 August 1912, according to its history.

As farms and market gardens gave way to urban development, the Society says the show had to adapt to survive. It changed the format in 1964, moved the show to November in 2017, and adopted a festival presentation at Robinson Reserve from 2019. After the event could not be held in 1944 because there were too few able volunteers, the Society says the pandemic also paused it in 2020. Since the show resumed in 2021, it has returned to the foundations “Food, Fun & Fireworks.”
What does “109th year” mean?
The 2024 feature called the event the show’s “109th year.” The Society’s history, meanwhile, says it formed in 1910 and that the show celebrated its 100th birthday in 2014. Those statements do not explain how the 2024 ordinal was counted. The sources do not establish a counting method, so the “109th year” label is best understood as the event’s own description rather than a count that can be independently reconstructed from the Society’s formation date.
