The first cour is not still “coming”: it premiered in Japan in October 2025, with new episodes beginning on October 12 after an opening-night Season 2 recap. VIZ listed December 28, 2025, as the availability date for Episode 12 in the United States.
The latest official update, published on June 26, 2026, unveiled a second-cour key visual and repeated the 2027 broadcast window. When will One-Punch Man Season 3 Cour 2 be released?
One-Punch Man Season 3 Cour 2 will be broadcast in 2027. No official announcement has provided a premiere month, day, episode schedule, or confirmed U.S. streaming platform for the second cour.
Shueisha announced the 2027 broadcast window on January 7, 2026. The official One-Punch Man anime website repeated the 2027 status on June 26, 2026, alongside a new key visual and additional character information. That June announcement is the latest release update covered here, but it still does not narrow the date beyond the year.

Release-date answer at a glance
- Season 3 Cour 2: confirmed for broadcast in 2027.
- Exact date: not announced.
- First cour: already aired beginning in October 2025.
- First new Season 3 episode in Japan: October 12, 2025.
- U.S. first-cour platform: Hulu, according to VIZ’s October 2025 viewing notice.
- Cour 2 platform and schedule: not yet confirmed in the cited official announcements.
Why some reports list October 5, 2025
October 5, 2025, was the advertised Japanese broadcast start for Season 3, but it requires an important qualification. The first television broadcast was a recap of Season 2 rather than a new Season 3 episode.
The first new episode aired one week later, on October 12, 2025. The official Japanese announcement listed the regular series slot as Sunday at 11:45 p.m. on TV Tokyo and affiliated stations, with BS TV Tokyo beginning its broadcast on October 6. The official schedule announcement is therefore the source for the October 5 start date, while October 12 is the useful date for viewers asking when new Season 3 story material actually began.

Where to watch One-Punch Man Season 3
For the first cour, VIZ’s official viewing guide identified the following territory-specific services:
Rank #2
- English dub, Japanese langauge, English subtitles
- United States: Hulu, with episodes listed for weekly release on Sundays at 7:15 a.m. Pacific Time.
- Canada: Disney+.
- Latin America: Netflix and Crunchyroll, as listed by VIZ.
- Australia and New Zealand: Netflix and Crunchyroll, as listed by VIZ.
- Oceania: Crunchyroll, according to the same distribution notice.
These platform details apply to the first cour’s 2025 rollout. They should not be treated as a confirmed distribution plan for Cour 2. VIZ, Hulu, Crunchyroll, Netflix, and Disney+ may publish updated territory and scheduling information closer to the second-cour broadcast.

VIZ’s viewing guide also promoted a One-Punch Man Blu-ray; that is a catch-up or home-video option, not evidence that a Cour 2 Blu-ray release date has been announced.
What will Cour 2 cover?
The official Season 3 material frames the season around the escalating conflict between the Hero Association and the Monster Association, including Garou’s situation after the Season 2 finale. The season’s September 2025 production announcement credits J.C.STAFF as the animation studio and lists Shinpei Nagai as director, Tomohiro Suzuki as series composer, Chikashi Kubota, Shinjiro Kuroda, and Ryosuke Shirokawa as character designers, and Makoto Miyazaki as composer.
The June 2026 second-cour announcement revealed additional promotional material featuring characters including Psykos and a repaired Genos. Those visuals establish that the characters are part of the continuation’s promotional context, but they do not confirm the exact events of individual episodes or provide a scene-by-scene plot synopsis.

Readers looking to continue from the anime can also catch up with the Monster Association arc in the English-language manga. The appropriate starting point depends on how much of the animated first cour a viewer has completed, so readers should check the volume’s synopsis and edition details before buying. Manga volumes and existing Blu-ray releases are available as franchise catch-up products; a specific Season 3 Cour 2 home-video edition has not been announced in the cited material.
What has not been announced yet?
As of the June 26, 2026 official update, the following information remains open:
- The exact Cour 2 premiere month and day in 2027.
- The Japanese broadcast time and station details for the continuation, if they change from the first-cour arrangement.
- The number of episodes in Cour 2.
- The U.S. streaming service and release time for Cour 2.
- The international streaming services for Cour 2 by territory.
- A Cour 2 Blu-ray release date or product edition.
That means a headline saying simply “One-Punch Man Season 3 is coming in 2027” is misleading: the first cour already aired in 2025, and only the continuation is currently associated with the 2027 window.

Production details
J.C.STAFF is credited as the animation studio for Season 3. The official production information names:
- Director: Shinpei Nagai
- Series composer: Tomohiro Suzuki
- Character designers: Chikashi Kubota, Shinjiro Kuroda, and Ryosuke Shirokawa
- Composer: Makoto Miyazaki
The season continues the anime’s adaptation of the conflict involving the Hero Association, the Monster Association, and Garou. Promotional material confirms the broad direction of the story, but the official announcements cited here do not establish a complete Cour 2 episode list or an exact adaptation endpoint.

- Look for a date announcement on the official One-Punch Man anime website rather than relying on an unsourced day or month.
- Check the announcement’s territory wording. A Japanese broadcast date does not automatically establish a U.S. streaming date.
- Confirm the platform shortly before release, because the first-cour services do not guarantee the Cour 2 distribution arrangement.
- Be cautious with countdowns or retailer listings that present a 2027 month, day, episode count, or Blu-ray date as official without a matching announcement from the production or distribution sources.
