One Piece Chapter 1152 was listed by VIZ for June 22, 2025. The chapter followed a one-week gap in the Japanese magazine schedule: contemporaneous coverage said the series was absent from Weekly Shonen Jump issue 29 and expected in issue 30, planned for sale June 23. The dates refer to different editions and release channels, not competing dates for one event.

The adjacent dates on VIZ’s chapter listing place it in sequence: Chapter 1151 is dated June 8, 2025, and Chapter 1153 is dated June 29, 2025. Those listings show a gap before Chapter 1152 and the next chapter a week later. Check VIZ’s One Piece chapter listing.
Why do some reports give June 23?
The June 23 date refers to the planned sale of Japanese magazine issue Weekly Shonen Jump 30, not VIZ’s English digital chapter listing. A June 13, 2025 report from MANGA Watch said One Piece was absent from issue 29 and Chapter 1152 was expected in issue 30. Read MANGA Watch’s June 13 report.

| Date | What it refers to | Source |
|---|---|---|
| June 22, 2025 | VIZ’s listed English digital release date for Chapter 1152 | VIZ |
| June 23, 2025 | Planned sale date reported for Japanese magazine issue 30 carrying Chapter 1152 | MANGA Watch |
A one-day difference is understandable when comparing an English digital listing with the planned Japanese print-magazine sale date. The two sources describe separate schedules, so June 23 should not be substituted for VIZ’s June 22 date.
Did Eiichiro Oda announce the new date?
The reviewed VIZ chapter page confirms the date but does not attribute it to Eiichiro Oda. The available coverage confirms the magazine issue gap and the expected issue 30 placement; it does not establish why the break occurred. There is no verified Oda quote in these sources announcing the date or explaining the schedule.
