Luffy and the nine crewmates who fill roles ranging from navigator and doctor to shipwright and helmsman. Here is the complete official roster, organized by what each person does aboard the crew.
Who are all the Straw Hat Pirates?
The official ONE PIECE.com crew roster lists ten named members. It also features ships, which are not additional crew members. Luffy formed the crew in the East Blue; after two years of training, the Straw Hats reunited at Sabaody and continued into the New World.

What does each Straw Hat’s role involve?
Captain and combatant: Luffy and Zoro
Luffy leads the crew, while Zoro is its first recruit and principal swordsman. Their personal ambitions are different: Luffy wants to become King of the Pirates, and Zoro wants to become the world’s greatest swordsman. The official profiles show Luffy’s bounty as 3 billion berries and Jinbe’s as 1.1 billion berries; these are in-story figures displayed on ONE PIECE.com profiles checked in 2026, not dated real-world statistics. See the Luffy profile and Jinbe profile.
Navigation and marksmanship: Nami and Usopp
Nami’s job is to read the weather and steer the crew’s course through the sea; her dream is to draw a map of the world. Usopp is the crew’s sniper, and his ambition is to become a brave warrior of the sea. Navigation and marksmanship are distinct shipboard functions, even though both characters contribute beyond their named roles.

How to read the roster
The role labels identify each member’s place in the crew, not the full extent of their abilities. A combatant, sniper, or musician may also fight; that does not replace the roster’s named role. Likewise, titles such as “God Usopp” or “Soul King Brook” are not additional crew positions. Personal dreams offer another way to distinguish the members: the goal of the Pirate King for Luffy, the world’s greatest swordsman for Zoro, a world map for Nami, the All Blue for Sanji, a panacea for Chopper, the true history for Robin, and reunion with Laboon for Brook.
Character details and bounty figures can change as the story progresses. For the current official roster and profiles, consult ONE PIECE.com’s character listings.
