A firearm discharged while rapper OG 2 Low had it in his jeans pocket during a recorded interview with Mike D, according to a Jan. 6, 2025, report by the Houston Chronicle. The report says the host checked whether anyone had been shot and that the conversation resumed; it does not independently confirm the participants’ condition.
What happened during the interview?
The Chron reported that OG 2 Low, identified as Cedric White, was speaking with host Mike D, identified as Mike Davis, on Tha Dirty 3rd, also called One on One Wit Mike D. About 47 minutes into the interview, White put a hand into his jeans pocket. A loud pop and flash followed, and the report described the firearm as discharging while in the pocket.
The available accounts do not establish the firearm’s make or model, or the precise mechanical cause of the discharge. The event is best described in the terms reported: a firearm discharged while in White’s pocket.
What did Mike D and OG 2 Low say afterward?
Chron recounts Mike D checking the scene and asking, “Who shot who?” and “Somebody got shot?” The account says the discussion resumed. White was quoted as saying, “Right now, man, we’re being grateful for the fact that everybody safe, everybody good, everybody cool.” Those statements indicate that the participants said everyone was safe; they are not an independent medical assessment.
