Oddity is a 2024 supernatural horror mystery about Darcy, a blind occultist who investigates the murder of her twin sister, Dani, using haunted objects from her collection. It was written and directed by Damian McCarthy and runs 98 minutes. Shudder has a title page with a play option; availability depends on your territory and may change.
What is Oddity about?
Dani is murdered at a remote country house she and her husband, Ted, are renovating. A year later, her twin sister Darcy arrives, convinced the story of Dani’s death is incomplete. Darcy is blind and an occultist; she brings a dangerous object from her collection as she pursues the truth. Haunted objects and a murder investigation make the film a supernatural horror mystery rather than a documentary.
The official film site describes Darcy’s pursuit as revenge against those responsible. The production company’s synopsis adds the country-house setting and the gap of a year after Dani’s death. Keeper Pictures’ film page and the official film site provide the premise.

For a short critical characterization, Keeper Pictures reproduces a review sentence attributed to Chase Hutchinson of Collider: “Remaining aware of genre enough to playfully skewer it just as it manages to be truly terrifying in an almost classical sense, it is the type of film that grows on you.”
