Hints for Strands #645
- Theme: “Grammatically speaking.”
- Look for categories that describe how words function in sentences. This is a conceptual nudge, not an official in-game hint.
- Spangram: It has 13 letters and touches the left edge at row 1 and the right edge at row 2.
In TechRadar’s account of one solve, NOUN confirmed the theme, followed by VERB and ADJECTIVE. Finding “speech” revealed the spangram and ARTICLE, leaving CONJUNCTION. That is one reported solving progression, not a required path. TechRadar’s hints and answers and DocumentaryTube’s answer listing agree on the puzzle’s theme and answers.
Answers for Monday, December 8, 2025
The spangram is PARTSOFSPEECH. The five theme words are:
- NOUN
- VERB
- ADJECTIVE
- ARTICLE
- CONJUNCTION
The theme phrase points to parts of speech: the five answers are word-function categories represented by the spangram.
