Today’s Strands hint
Think of colors paired with words that complete the titles of television shows. The theme is “Palette episodes.”
NYT Strands answers for December 15
The spangram is COLORTV. The eight theme words form four color-and-title pairs:
- BLUE + BLOODS = Blue Bloods
- GREEN + ACRES = Green Acres
- GOLDEN + GIRLS = The Golden Girls
- WHITE + LOTUS = The White Lotus
How the theme works
The color words can look like standalone answers at first. Pair each with the remaining word that completes a television title, and the “Palette episodes” connection becomes clear. Forbes reported the theme, spangram and answer set; Parade and TechRadar also published the puzzle’s solution set.

How Strands hints work
Strands is a word-search game: trace theme words through the letter grid. The spangram describes the theme and touches opposite sides of the board. According to Parade’s guide, finding three non-theme words earns a hint that reveals letters of a theme word; when a hint is active, the game can also show the answer’s letter order.
The complete letter paths and original grid layout are not established here, so this answer list does not assign words to particular cells or describe a route across the board.
