NYT Strands puzzle #372, for Monday, March 10, 2025, has the theme clue “You’re Pushing My Buttons.” The hints below offer help without revealing the full solution; the answers are in a separate spoiler section.

Hints for Strands #372

  1. Think of a handheld device with buttons.

  2. The spangram runs vertically, from the bottom of the board to the top.

  3. For the regular theme words, the starting letter pairs are CH, VO, MU, BA, GU, HO, and PO. The spangram starts with RE. Parade notes that the first regular answer is in the top half of the board.

How Strands hints work

Trace letters to make theme words; found words stay highlighted in blue. The spangram describes the theme, touches two opposite sides of the board, and is highlighted in yellow. It can consist of two words. Letters can be traced in any direction, but cannot be reused or crossed. Finding three non-theme words earns a hint: it reveals the letters in a theme word, and a subsequent hint can show their order if another hint is active. Parade attributes its gameplay instructions to The New York Times; Try Hard Guides also describes the tracing rules.
