Spoiler warning: This page covers the NYT Strands puzzle for December 25, 2025, game #662. Hints below reveal progressively more; the full answer list appears at the end. December 25, 2024 had a different puzzle.
Start with the theme clue
The theme is “Caroler’s count.” Think of a familiar holiday song that counts gifts from a true love.
Get a stronger nudge
The clue is “A whole lot of gifts from a true love.” The puzzle has seven theme entries in total, including the spangram.
Use the opening letters
For the six non-spangram answers, the opening-letter pairs are DR, CH, PI, MA, LA, SW, and LO, in left-to-right, then top-to-bottom order, as reported by Forbes. These pairs can help you spot words without giving away the full list.

- Spangram: CHRISTMASDAYS (also written as CHRISTMAS DAYS)
The spangram names the song’s “12 days,” and the six other words are the people and gifts counted in the familiar lyric. TechRadar and Forbes list the same answer set; StrandsSolution’s archive also agrees. These are third-party puzzle guides, not an official NYT answer record.
