Spoiler-light hints for April 4

Spangram: SPRINGBLOSSOM (13 letters).

Theme words: SNOWDROP, TULIP, CROCUS, DAFFODIL, and HYACINTH.

How the puzzle’s hints work

Strands has players find theme words in a letter grid, along with a spangram that describes the theme. Parade reports that theme words are highlighted in blue and the spangram in yellow; finding three non-theme words earns a hint that reveals letters in a theme word. These mechanics are reported by the guide, not independently confirmed here against NYT’s help page.

TechRadar lists SOLID, COIN, PROUD, BINGO, TWINS, and SOIL as non-theme words that can unlock in-game hints. It says the spangram touches the left edge at column four and the top edge at column five; Parade describes its route as a mix of vertical and diagonal moves.
