The theme points to things used to carry items. The answers are different types of bags. This clue wording comes from a secondary puzzle guide, not an official NYT clue. Analytics Insight’s Nov. 26 guide, syndicated on Dailyhunt, gives the clue and answer set.

Why the date matters
This is the Tuesday, November 26, 2024 puzzle, game #268. The title’s “today” wording refers to the original publication date; it does not identify the puzzle for the current date. The New York Times announced in June 2024 that Strands was available in its Games app alongside games including Connections, Wordle, Spelling Bee, The Crossword, and The Mini.
