Hints for Strands #150
Theme hint
The reported theme is “Staying power.” Forbes contributor Erik Kain offered this further nudge: “The only thing that unites these words is their ability to stick together.”
Clue words for in-game hints
TechRadar reported these words as clues that unlock in-game hints: RACE, CARE, TALE, STICK, HEAD and BUST.
Spangram hint
TechRadar’s hint for the spangram is “Stuck on you.” The guide places its starting point on the left side of the board in row four and its endpoint on the right side in row six.

How the hints fit the puzzle
The theme and answer set point to substances and objects that stick: epoxy, glue, bubblegum, adhesive, tape and caramel. You do not need specialist knowledge to connect them; the theme’s wording and the spangram’s “Stuck on you” clue provide the main route.

Strands solving context
Try Hard Guides described Strands as a themed word-search game. In its 2024 guide, it said letters can be used in any direction without reusing or crossing them, and that the spangram describes the theme while touching opposite sides of the board. The guide also reported that finding three non-theme words of at least four letters earns a hint that highlights a theme word. These are mechanics as described by that contemporaneous secondary guide, not a verification of every current interface detail.
Difficulty is subjective: TechRadar’s Marc McLaren called this puzzle easy, while Forbes’ Erik Kain described it as tricky for him.
