Here are the reported placements for the NYT Pips puzzles dated Thursday, December 11, 2025. Spoilers are grouped by difficulty: Easy and Medium list pieces by region condition, while Hard gives a bottom-up walkthrough. The Easy and Medium lists are not full coordinate maps, and the Hard sequence is a reported solution rather than proof that the board has only one solution.
To avoid spoilers, stop before the difficulty you are solving.
How NYT Pips works
Pips is a single-player domino logic puzzle. Place the dominoes horizontally or vertically to fill the grid while satisfying the rules shown in its colored regions. A condition may require an exact total, equal values, unequal values, or a total above or below a threshold. A domino can cross region boundaries, so its two halves may count toward different conditions.
The dated guides cover three difficulty tiers. The placements below are reported hints and answers for the December 11, 2025 boards.

- Number (1): Place 5–3 horizontally.
- Greater Than (3): Place 4–2 horizontally.
- Number (9): Use 0–1, 6–6, and 4–2 horizontally.
- Another Greater Than (3) region: Place 2–2 horizontally.

Medium answers

- Number (2): Place 1–1.
- Number (10): Place 5–4 and 5–6.
- Number (6): Place 5–6.
- Number (4): The guide lists 5–4 for a line labeled Number (4), but its accompanying text says, “Everything in this space must add up to 1.” Those statements conflict; check the original board before treating either as the rule.
- Greater Than (2): Place 1–3.
- Green Number (2): Place 2–2.
- Equal (2): Place 2–2 and 2–5.
- Red Number (6): Place 4–6.
- Equal (5): Place 5–5.

The reported Hard solution works from the bottom of the board upward, starting with constrained regions. Use the region names and sequence below to follow the walkthrough; it is not a claim that the solution is unique.
- Place 4/0 in the Purple 10 region, extending into Pink 0.
- Place 6/1 from Purple 10 into the Blue equal region.
- Place 0/3 from Pink 0 into Green 9.
- Place 1/1 in the lower Blue equal cells.
- Place 1/2 from the final Blue equal cell into Green 9.
- Place 4/3 above it, from Green 9 into Dark Blue 9.
- Place 6/5 from Dark Blue 9 into Orange 10.
- Place 5/1 from Orange 10 into the second Blue equal group.
- Place 1/3 vertically from Blue equal into the free tile.
- Place 2/2 in the first Purple equal cells.
- Place 2/5 from Purple equal into Pink Greater Than 1.
