About the Mini and access
The Forbes article describes the Mini as a quick version of the newspaper’s larger crossword, usually with three to five clues in each direction on a five-by-five grid; larger puzzles may appear, especially on Saturdays. It also said in September 2025 that the Mini was subscriber-only and that an NYT Games subscription was needed to access the archives. Those are the article’s statements at that time, not confirmation of current access or subscription terms.
