There is no single NYT crossword answer set for March 29: the date repeats every year, and the Times offers different puzzle formats. First confirm the year and whether you mean the Daily, Mini, or another puzzle. The available date-specific coverage identifies a Daily Crossword for March 29, 2026, but the intended year and format are not established by the title alone.

Which March 29 puzzle do you mean?

March 29, 2025 and March 29, 2026 refer to different puzzles. The NYT archive also separates Daily and Mini puzzles, while third-party coverage identifies Midi material for March 29, 2026. Check both the date and format before using an answer page.

  • Year: A separate March 29, 2025 archive entry exists, as does coverage for March 29, 2026. NYTCross.com’s March 2025 archive provides a year-specific listing.
  • Format: The official archive offers Daily and Mini views. A March 29, 2026 Daily answer page should not be mistaken for a Mini or Midi solution.

How to find the official puzzle

The New York Times Crossword Archive is the official route to past puzzles. Its Help Center says the archive reaches back more than ten years. On the web, choose Daily or Mini, then select the month and year and open the date you want. In the Games app, use The Crossword or The Mini tab and navigate by month and year. Games and All Access subscribers have archive access; non-subscribers have limited access. See the NYT Crossword Archive help page for access details.

March 29, 2026 Daily coverage

For readers seeking the 2026 Daily puzzle, Try Hard Guides’ March 29, 2026 clue index organizes entries into Across and Down clues. Its listed Across clues include “Max,” “Play part,” and “Alternative to a .doc.” This is third-party coverage, not the official NYT answer key.

The Word Finder’s March 29, 2026 Daily page also identifies that date as a Daily Crossword and presents clue-level patterns and reveal controls. Its page describes the Sunday grid as 21×21, compared with 15×15 Monday through Saturday; that is a general description from that third-party source, not confirmation of a particular answer.

Look up a clue without spoiling the whole grid

If you want only one entry, use a clue-by-clue answer guide where available and search for the clue you are stuck on rather than reading the full page. Try Hard Guides’ page is organized by individual Across and Down clues, which can make selective lookup easier, though scrolling may still expose other clues or answers.

You can also use the in-game lifesaver control to check or reveal a square, an answer, or the entire puzzle. The NYT Help Center warns that using Check or Reveal resets your Crossword Streak. Choose a clue-level guide instead if preserving that streak matters.
