These are the answers for the Saturday, March 21, 2026 New York Times crossword. The year matters: a March 21 answer key can refer to a different puzzle in another year. The third-party guide identifies this puzzle as a 15×15 grid with 66 clues, and says its entries were checked against the published solution. Spoilers follow.

For a smaller spoiler, use the clue numbers and reveal only the entries you need. The list below preserves the guide’s Across and Down numbering and answer spellings. The guide identifies Boaz Moser as constructor and Will Shortz as editor; it is an independent answer page, not an official New York Times page. You Go Words’ March 21, 2026 answer page includes the grid and complete entry list. Other date-specific guides offer hint or solution formats: Try Hard Guides and The Word Finder.

Wordplay notes

Several clues rely on playful readings: “Parts of a story structure?” points to I-BEAMS; “Things that are tough on the outside and doughy on the inside?” leads to ARMORED CARS; and “Join arms?” resolves as ENLIST. These are individual clue jokes, not evidence of a confirmed puzzle-wide theme: the answer guide provides the grid and entries but does not explain a unifying theme.
