How Sports Edition works and where to find it
The New York Times Help Center describes Connections as a word game about finding themes among words. Players sort 16 words into four groups of four; Sports Edition follows the same rules, with sports terms as its focus. It is brought to solvers by The Athletic.
The Help Center lists the game on the web at nytimes.com/games and nytimes.com/theathletic, as well as in The Athletic app and the NYT News app. The daily game releases at midnight in the player’s timezone. The Help Center says Sports Edition does not have an archive, so it does not establish that this past puzzle can be replayed.
