How Connections works
Connections presents 16 words or other items and asks you to sort them into four groups of four. You can play the daily puzzle on the NYT website or in the NYT Games app. Forbes describes access to the archive of past games as included with an NYT Games or All Access subscription; check current access terms with NYT before relying on that detail.
Rank #2
For puzzle #946, the number of mistakes allowed before the game ends is three: a fourth incorrect guess ends the game.
