Green: Furthest point
END, EXTREME, OPPOSITE, POLE.
Blue: Art movements, with “-ism”
BRUTAL, IMPRESSION, MANNER, REAL. Add “-ism” to get brutalism, impressionism, mannerism, and realism.
Purple: What “V” might mean
FIVE, VERSUS, VERY, VOLT. These point to the Roman numeral V, “versus,” the textspeak abbreviation “v,” and the volt symbol V.

How Connections works and when it resets
The New York Times describes Connections as a puzzle of 16 words divided into four groups of four, with each group assigned a color. It releases daily at midnight in the player’s timezone. You can play through the NYT Games app and website, among other NYT platforms.
