Tuesday, November 19, 2024, is Connections puzzle #527. The hints below move from gentle clues to the four category names and, finally, the complete word groups. Stop at any point if you want to keep solving.

Gentle hints, in color order

Connections asks players to sort 16 words into four groups of four that share a theme. The New York Times identifies the groups by color, from Yellow, the easiest, through Green and Blue to Purple, the trickiest. 1. Yellow: Thing you’re good at.
  2. Green: A security measure.
  3. Blue: BOW is another.
  4. Purple: [Twice] blank.

Category names

  1. Yellow: Area of expertise.
  2. Green: Ways to unlock a device.
  3. Blue: Pasta shapes.
