How Connections works

Connections presents 16 words to sort into four groups of four. In the gameplay description published by Forbes, players submit four-word selections and four mistakes end the game; the groups are color-coded, and the purple group often uses wordplay. Interface details can change, so this describes that guide rather than a guarantee about every current version.

If you want to replay archived puzzles, Forbes says access to the archive is available with an NYT All Access or Games subscription. Current prices and entitlements are not established here.
