Full answers (spoilers)
| Color | Category | Words |
|---|---|---|
| Yellow | Parts of a college campus | CAFETERIA, DORM, LIBRARY, QUAD |
| Green | Exaggerated, as a performance | CAMP, DRAMATIC, HAMMY, OVERDONE |
| Blue | Close in on | CORNER, SURROUND, TRAP, TREE |
| Purple | Starts of Greek letters | BET, DELT, LAMB, THE |
Why the purple group fits
Each word is the beginning of a Greek-letter name: BET starts beta, DELT starts delta, LAMB starts lambda, and THE starts theta. They are not complete Greek-letter names; the connection is their opening letter sequences.
