How Connections works
The game presents 16 words and asks players to find four groups of four. Groups are color-coded by difficulty, with yellow generally easiest and purple hardest. An incorrect submission costs a life; players have four mistakes available before the game ends. Words may appear to fit more than one category, so the task is to identify the single intended grouping for that puzzle.
