What made the board tricky
Several entries can suggest more than one connection. GEAR, KIT, STUFF, and TACKLE form the equipment group. DON, PUT ON, SPORT, and WEAR all mean to dress in something. ALLEY, COURT, LANE, and WAY can finish residential street names. The remaining names—BILL, BOB, PAT, and TOM—also have familiar meanings beyond being nicknames. PUT ON is the only two-word entry on the board.
