Spoilers for Episode 2: Higan learns that a series of murder victims were former ninjas whose identities had been exposed. He sets out to avenge his wife and son and destroy the organization behind the killings—but the hideout he seeks is empty, sending him to FBI agent Mike for information.
What happens in Ninja Kamui Episode 2?
Adult Swim lists the installment simply as “(Dub) Episode 2”; the official listings reviewed do not give it a separate episode title. The episode connects the recent murders to Higan’s former world: the victims were former ninjas whose covers had been blown. Higan pursues the organization responsible, driven by the deaths of his wife and son and determined to bring the organization down. Adult Swim’s episode listing summarizes that revenge mission.

The empty hideout changes Higan’s next move
The episode’s story expands beyond a direct pursuit. In Aniplex’s official story for episode #02, Higan reaches the organization’s hideout and finds it empty. He then contacts FBI agent Mike to seek information. The turn links Higan’s personal search to the FBI’s investigation of the murders, rather than resolving the episode as a simple confrontation with the target.
