Nile Rodgers & Chic closed C6 Fest 2025 at Parque Ibirapuera in São Paulo on May 25—not Rio de Janeiro. Reviews describe a set that opened with “Le Freak,” ranged across Chic’s own hits and songs Rodgers wrote or produced for other artists, and finished with “Good Times.”

The Rio reference belongs to a separate concert: the Chic Organization also played Vivo Rio during its visit for C6 Fest. That report does not make the festival set a Rio performance. Rock On Board’s report covers the Vivo Rio show.
What the set brought together
The set’s appeal was its sweep through Nile Rodgers’ catalog—as a Chic performer and songwriter, guitarist, and producer—rather than a focus on one album or era. Reviews describe the performance opening with Chic’s “Le Freak,” then moving between the group’s disco classics and familiar songs associated with other artists.

Chic classics and songs from Rodgers’ wider catalog
Billboard Brasil’s review reports performances of “Everybody Dance,” “Dance, Dance, Dance” and “I Want Your Love,” alongside Chic’s opening “Le Freak.” Its account also includes Sister Sledge’s “We Are Family”; Madonna’s “Like a Virgin” and “Material Girl”; David Bowie’s “Modern Love” and “Let’s Dance”; Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky” and “Lose Yourself to Dance”; and Beyoncé’s “Cuff It.” The review describes a return to Chic material before the finale, “Good Times.” Billboard Brasil’s account is one reported view of the repertoire, not a definitive setlist shared identically by every reviewer.
UOL Toca’s review likewise emphasizes the shift from Chic classics to songs connected with other artists and back. Setlist details differ across coverage, so individual song sequences should be read as accounts from particular reviews rather than a single confirmed running order.

A show for listeners who may not know Chic by name
Billboard Brasil recounts a listener wondering, “mas e aí, não conheço esse Chic. Como vai ser?”—“so, I don’t know this Chic. What will it be like?” The reviewer says the listener recognized the songs as the set unfolded. It is a review anecdote, not evidence about audience-wide familiarity, but it captures why the broad repertoire could work for people who know the music without knowing its connection to Chic or Rodgers.
How the performance was received
Reviews describe audience members singing along and dancing, and present the set’s movement between Chic songs and widely recognized pop material as a source of momentum. These are critics’ observations, not measured audience data. Coverage also gives an approximate performance length, but no original, named statistic relevant to the event was identified; there is no basis here for assigning a precise duration or publishing a definitive song count.
For readers weighing the performance against another live show, the useful points of comparison are repertoire breadth, pacing between Chic and guest-associated songs, audience participation as reviewers observed it, and reported sound balance. Those are critical impressions, not standardized scores.

Listeners drawn to the concert’s Chic material can begin with the group’s studio catalog, including C’est Chic. It is a studio album, not a recording of this C6 Fest performance. The songs associated with other artists in the reviews offer a second path into Rodgers’ work as a songwriter and producer.
