Nike has not disclosed a deal value or Kardashian’s compensation, so claims that she “cashed in” are not established by the company’s announcements. Separately, adidas ended its partnership with Ye in October 2022. The two developments are distinct; the available announcements do not show that NikeSKIMS replaced Yeezy or was created in response to adidas.
What Nike announced about Kim Kardashian and NikeSKIMS
Nike announced NikeSKIMS as a new women’s brand combining Nike’s sport, product and athlete expertise with SKIMS’s focus on style and fit. That establishes Kardashian’s role in the SKIMS business and the partnership’s public positioning. It does not disclose a payment to her, the financial terms between Nike and SKIMS, or a personal payout. No dollar figure for the deal or change to Kardashian’s wealth is established by the cited Nike announcements.
What NikeSKIMS sells
Nike’s January 27, 2026 announcement said the Spring ’26 collection would be available from February 5, 2026, through Nike, SKIMS and select partner retail locations in North America, Europe and the Middle East. These are Nike’s descriptions of its products, not results from independent performance testing. Kardashian described the collection as celebrating “the timeless poise and elegance of ballerinas but with a distinct modern twist.”
Why adidas ended its partnership with Ye
On October 25, 2022, adidas announced that it was ending its partnership with Ye (Kanye West) immediately. It said it would stop Yeezy production and payments to Ye and his companies, citing Ye’s recent comments and actions. adidas called them “unacceptable, hateful and dangerous.” adidas’s termination announcement

adidas forecast that the decision could have a short-term negative impact of up to €250 million on the company’s 2022 net income, citing fourth-quarter seasonality. That was adidas’s forecast at the time, not a payment to Ye, a measure of his personal financial loss or a current estimate of adidas’s financial position.
In the same announcement, adidas said it was the sole owner of design rights to existing products and prior and new colorways under the partnership. That is adidas’s statement about its rights; the announcement alone is not an independent legal analysis.

How the two brand events compare
The announcements concern different companies, people and years: Nike introduced a Nike-SKIMS women’s brand, while adidas ended its agreement with Ye. They do not provide comparable contract values or compensation terms, and neither establishes that one event caused the other.
