When did Nicole Richie and Joel Madden meet and start dating?
Richie and Madden recalled meeting through a mutual friend at a party in an August 2007 interview with Diane Sawyer for ABC News. Their relationship is dated to December 2006 in a later CBS News report published in February 2010. When did they have their children?
Harlow Winter Kate Madden
In the August 2007 interview, Richie said she was almost four months pregnant. Madden spoke about their relationship and the coming baby, saying, “There’s no way you can’t fall in love with her when you get to know her.” Their daughter, Harlow Winter Kate Madden, was born on January 11, 2008, according to ELLE’s retrospective timeline. When did Nicole Richie and Joel Madden get engaged?
Richie made the engagement public during a taping of The Late Show with David Letterman in February 2010. Madden confirmed it on Twitter. CBS News reported the engagement on February 16 and quoted his post: “Yep. i’m engaged. Very happy. Yeah we’ve been engaged for a while so your all kind of late on that. But Thanks for the hooplah all the same.” His message indicates they had been engaged for some time before the public announcement, but it does not give a proposal date. CBS News, February 16, 2010.
When and where did they get married?

Richie’s reflection in 2022
