Nicki Minaj said on October 15, 2025, that she would not release her sixth studio album, then tagged Jay-Z in the post. The statement followed an announced release date of March 27, 2026, but the available reports do not establish whether the album was later released, rescheduled or permanently cancelled.
What Nicki Minaj said about the album
Rolling Stone reported that Minaj posted, “Ok I’m not going to put out the album anymore,” followed by “No more music.” She also wrote “Hope you’re happy now” and tagged Jay-Z’s account, according to the publication’s October 16, 2025 report: Rolling Stone.

How the post fit the album timeline
Before the post, Minaj had announced March 27, 2026, as the release date for her sixth studio album. Rolling Stone described it as the follow-up to Pink Friday 2, released in 2023. The October 15 statement therefore reversed the public plan then in place; it does not, by itself, establish the album’s eventual status.
Why Roc Nation was mentioned
Minaj’s post tagged Jay-Z, and coverage also noted earlier posts in which she had directed criticism at Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez. Variety reported on those earlier posts: Variety. The reports document Minaj’s statements and whom she addressed, but they do not independently establish the cause of her decision or confirm a motive behind the criticism.

Is the sixth album still coming out?
The October 2025 coverage records a cancellation statement and an earlier release plan, not a confirmed final outcome. It does not establish whether the album was released or rescheduled after Minaj’s post. The firmest supported description is that she said she would not put it out at that time.
