The Fashion Model Secret article presents a list of ten people as the world’s richest news anchors. The figures surfaced for three of them are:

Why other lists give different numbers
Published estimates vary with the source, date and choice of whom to include. TheStreet’s U.S.-focused list gives Cooper a range of $60 million to $200 million and estimates Hannity’s net worth at $300 million. TheStreet says its salary and net-worth figures generally come from Celebrity Net Worth unless otherwise specified. A List Wire/USA Today Network list published in 2023 puts Hannity at $80 million.

The amounts are not directly comparable: the lists differ in publication date, subject selection and estimation sources. A later estimate should not be treated as proof that an earlier one was accurate or that the person’s wealth changed by a particular amount.
What counts as a “news anchor” changes the ranking
“News anchor” can mean a presenter of news bulletins, but wealth lists may use a broader category that includes opinion hosts and commentators. Some lists are U.S.-only or limited to a network; a July 2026 Just Jared list, for example, covers past and present Fox News anchors and hosts. Those narrower lists answer a different question from a ranking of anchors worldwide.

A defensible comparison would need to state whether it includes retired presenters, talk and opinion hosts, broadcasters outside the United States, and wealth from sources beyond journalism. Without those boundaries, the word “world” signals a reach the figures do not establish.

Net worth is an estimate of assets minus liabilities at a particular point in time; salary is income earned over a period. A salary estimate alone cannot establish net worth. Nor do the cited lists verify private assets, debts, trusts, inheritance or the assumptions used to value them. Treat each number as a publisher’s reported estimate, not a precise measure of personal wealth.

How to read the ranking
- Check the date: the Fashion Model Secret article is from September 12, 2023, not a live 2026 ranking.
- Check the scope: worldwide, U.S.-only and single-network lists do not cover the same population.
- Check the category: a list that includes hosts and commentators is broader than one restricted to news presenters.
- Check the method: note whether the publisher names an estimate source and gives a range or a single figure.
- Keep income separate from wealth: a salary figure does not, by itself, support a net-worth claim.
