What did NewJeans say about returning to ADOR?
On November 12, 2025, Minji, Hanni, and Danielle said they had decided to return to ADOR “after careful discussion,” according to Soompi’s report. They also said they would continue presenting music and performances with sincerity.
Their announcement followed an earlier statement from Haerin and Hyein. ADOR said those two members intended to continue working with the agency after consulting their families and discussing the matter with the company, Yonhap reported. The later statement from Minji, Hanni, and Danielle was issued separately, so the five did not make one joint announcement.
Why did the members say they would return?
The November statements followed a legal ruling that the members’ exclusive contracts with ADOR remained valid. The Seoul Central District Court issued that ruling on October 30, 2025. Yonhap reported that the court rejected the argument that former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin’s dismissal violated the contract. The court said, “There is no clause in the exclusive contract that requires Min to take charge of ADOR,” and noted that she could take part in production work as an outside director, according to Yonhap.

The November 12 announcements therefore marked a change in stated intention after the court decision, not a ruling that the members’ concerns had been resolved.
Are all NewJeans members back with ADOR?
Not according to the latest cited lineup update. On December 29, 2025, ADOR said Hanni would remain with the company, said it had terminated Danielle’s contract, and reported that discussions with Minji were continuing. Yonhap covered the agency’s update in its December report.

On July 22, 2026, Haerin, Hyein, Minji, and Hanni appeared in NewJeans anniversary photos and video. ADOR described the content as commemorative and said it would announce detailed future activity plans after talks. Yonhap reported that Minji’s return to the agency had not been confirmed at that time. What the return announcement does—and does not—mean
The November 2025 announcement records what all five members said they intended to do at that point. It should not be read as proof that all five completed a return, that their contract situations remained identical, or that a new release was scheduled. Later agency statements and reporting changed the picture, and the cited July 2026 report did not establish a confirmed full-group arrangement or future activity date.

For context, NewJeans’ second EP, Get Up, reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in August 2023, according to Yonhap. That chart achievement is separate from the contract dispute and does not indicate the group’s current activity plans.
