Yes. The Seoul Central District Court ruled on October 30, 2025, that NewJeans’ exclusive contracts with ADOR remained valid. Although the members initially said they would appeal, none filed an appeal by the November 14 deadline, making the first-instance ruling final.
What the October 2025 ruling decided
The Seoul Central District Court ruled for ADOR in the contract-validity case, finding that the members’ exclusive contracts remained in force. CNA reported that the presiding judge said, “It is difficult to regard Ador as having violated the exclusive contract merely by dismissing former CEO Min Hee-jin.” That reported remark addresses one issue in the court’s reasoning; it should not be read as a complete account of the judgment.
Why the announced appeal did not change the result
The members’ representatives initially said they planned to appeal. Yonhap later reported that no member filed an appeal by midnight on November 14, 2025. Because the deadline passed without a filing, the first-instance decision became final.

The injunction appeal was a separate case
The contract-validity ruling is distinct from an earlier appeal concerning a provisional injunction that restricted the members’ independent activities. In June 2025, the Seoul High Court dismissed that appeal. That procedural decision did not itself resolve the later question of whether the exclusive contracts were valid.

What happened after the ruling
On November 14, Yonhap reported that all five members had indicated they would return to ADOR, which said it was coordinating individual meetings. That did not settle the group’s longer-term lineup: ADOR announced in December 2025 that it had terminated Danielle’s exclusive contract.

The contract-validity decision should not be confused with the subsequent damages litigation involving Danielle. The Korea Times reported in June 2026 that ADOR had reduced its damages claim against Danielle and former CEO Min Hee-jin. A September 2026 report said the case remained active and identified October 20, 2026, as the next hearing date. That date was still in the future in the latest cited report, so no outcome is established here.
