New York Comic Con 2024 ran October 17–20 at the Javits Center in New York. Its biggest reported moments included a surprise Daredevil: Born Again appearance, a Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War panel, Kid Cudi’s move into comics, and the convention debut of Creature Commandos. This is a roundup of major verified announcements and programming highlights, not a complete record of every panel or reveal.
What was confirmed during the convention?
In its retrospective, New York Comic Con highlighted four moments from the 2024 event. It reported that Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio appeared without advance notice to reveal Daredevil: Born Again and show new costumes. The retrospective also singled out the appearance of the Japanese voice cast of Bleach, Kid Cudi’s announcement that he was moving into comics, and James Gunn and DC Studios bringing Creature Commandos to the convention for its debut.
Those are the convention’s selected highlights, not a transcript or exhaustive list of panel announcements. In particular, the surprise Daredevil: Born Again reveal is distinct from the panels and appearances publishers advertised before the show.
What did publishers announce or advertise before NYCC?
DC: All In, Gotham, and Jim Lee & Friends
DC’s September 17, 2024 announcement framed its schedule around the All In publishing initiative. DC said the initiative launched October 2 with DC All In Special #1. The schedule also listed an October 17 Gotham City panel with creators associated with Batman and related titles, a broader All In panel, and Jim Lee & Friends on October 19.

DC promoted the possibility of surprises and reveals, but its schedule announcement does not establish what specific unlisted reveals were made at those panels.
Image Comics: Ghost Machine and the Energon Universe
Image Comics’ October 10 schedule included a Ghost Machine one-year-anniversary panel featuring upcoming titles, including titles by Brad Meltzer and Lamont Magee slated for 2025. It also listed Transformers and G.I. Joe: What’s Next for the Energon Universe, with Skybound participants.
The Sunday session Image Comics Presents: Breaking Ground was advertised as featuring special announcements of upcoming projects. That advance description establishes what the panel promised, not the details of every reveal made there.
VIZ: Bleach, signings, and booth offerings
VIZ’s October 11 guide listed a Saturday Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Conflict panel at Empire Stage with Masakazu Morita and Noriaki Sugiyama, plus a new-episode sneak peek. Its VIZ Industry Panel was advertised as including announcements, sneak peeks, and giveaways.

The guide also listed voice-actor signings, a signing for I’m the Grim Reaper, Vol. 1, and manga, Blu-rays, and exclusives at booth #2235. The guide documents the planned convention offerings; it does not establish current retail inventory.
WEBTOON: webcomics and creator programming
WEBTOON Entertainment’s September 20 announcement described panels on designing power systems, romance in pop culture, building franchises and fandom through webcomics, and horror, along with creator signings. The schedule illustrates the event’s range of digital-comics programming; it is not evidence of a separate product announcement beyond the works named in that announcement.

What else was on the panel schedule?
Popverse’s schedule roundup described more than a hundred panels and highlighted programming across comics, film, television, and creators. Its featured sessions included Marvel Comics: Next Big Thing; Kid Cudi’s Moon Man panel; IDW’s 25-year retrospective and future plans; BlumFest, advertised with a Wolf Man trailer premiere and other film footage; a Josh Brolin conversation; Starship Troopers cast programming; a House of the Dragon retrospective; and a Fall of the House of Usher panel.
These are schedule highlights reported by Popverse. Where the roundup describes a planned premiere or footage, that is an advertised program item, not by itself confirmation of what was shown.

How many people attended?
Published attendance figures differ. Publishers Weekly reported more than 200,000 attendees, attributing that count to organizer ReedPop. New York Comic Con’s retrospective later described the event as drawing “over 250,000 fans”; the cited passage does not give a counting method. The figures should be treated as separate attributed reports, not combined into a single exact total.
