Where did the red-underwear tradition come from?
The precise origin is uncertain. How to choose a color
- Choose the wish you want to represent. Red is a familiar choice for love or passion; yellow or gold for prosperity; and green for hope or health.
- Check the meaning in the tradition you have in mind. Color associations can vary, and some guides describe clothing generally rather than underwear.
